Operational Plan & Budget

The one year Operational Plan is a sub-plan of the Delivery Program. It lists individual actions that will be undertaken during the financial year to achieve outcomes stated in the four year Delivery Program. The Operational Plan includes the Fees and Charges, Revenue Policy and Rating Maps. It includes a detailed budget to support the activities to be undertaken during the year.

In addition to the Operational Plan and overall budget breakdowns, Council is required to publish a range of documents that inform the community about its Fees and Charges, the Revenue Policy and the rates according to geographical area and are also linked below.

The 2019-2020 Operational Plan and associated documents were adopted at the June 2019 Ordinary Council Meeting.

Reporting on the Operational Plan

It is an important governance function for Council to monitor activity against the actions in the Operational Plan. Every quarter a report is presented to Council which considers achievements and progress against the actions and identifies if work is behind target. These reports are publicly available through the Council meeting business papers in October, February and May with the end of year progress report presented with the Annual report in November each year.

An Annual Report is provided to the community and to the NSW Government on the achievements and performance against the Operational Plan as well as other statutory requirements and audited financial statements.
