Eftsure helps ensure that payments are made to the correct account by verifying supplier details, including banking and ABN information. This step provides added protection for both you and Council.
You will receive an email from Eftsure requesting you to verify your business and banking details. Please complete this verification promptly to avoid any delays in future payments.
The process is quick, secure and only needs to be completed once (unless your details change). If you have been already verified by the Eftsure system, no further action is required. If your banking or business details change in the future, Eftsure will contact you directly to securely re-verify those updates.
Eftsure uses multi-factor verification to combat identity theft and social engineering (manipulation) to impersonate trading partners and vendors.
Multi-factor verification is a methodology, enabled by network technology and the scale of the cloud, that provides multiple points of verification for a given set of vendor bank account information.
Based on best-practice cyber-security methodologies, such as multi-factor authentication, Eftsure embraces a “safety in numbers” approach which means they verify a given set of bank account details (matching payee name to BSB Account Number and ABN). If multiple businesses verify and pay at the same set of details, then it is deemed correct.
