Inspection bookings

When undertaking building, subdivision or drainage works inspections are required by the Principal Certifying Authority (PCA) or Regulator to ensure construction meets the regulatory requirements.

Step 2.Submit the required documents

  • Council must have received your Notice to Commence Work advice
  • Council must have a copy of your Owner Builders Permit (if relevant)
  • A copy of approved plans must be available on site for inspecting officers.

Step 3.Prepare your information

Provide the following information when you make your booking request:

  • Application number
  • Date of last inspection
  • Property owner’s name
  • Lot and/or street number
  • Street name and town
  • Your name and phone number
  • Builders name and phone number
  • Date inspection is required and best time
  • The inspection request/type.

Temporary Structures (Events)

Step 1.Understand what's required

  • This inspection booking link is for temporary structures for events (where it is not exempt development).
  • You must book an inspection time, at least 7 business days prior to the date the structure will be available for inspection.

Step 2.Prepare for your inspection - what documentation must be provided with the inspection booking?

  • A copy of the S68 Reserve Use Event Approval issued for your event.
  • A site plan drawn to scale.
  • Engineering detail for the structures, including any engineering certifications available.
  • Fire safety provisions to be installed.
  • Other information requested by Council.
