We acknowledge the ongoing impact of the recent flood event on our community and sincerely thank everyone for their patience and understanding. As clean-up and restoration efforts continue across the LGA, we’re pleased to advise that some sporting fields are now able to reopen.
We aim to keep our sports facilities and fields open as much as possible to maximise use. But sometimes, we need to close sports fields for maintenance or during wet weather to minimise damages to the grounds and to eliminate safety risks.
With so many sporting groups and clubs completing for use of space we have to carefully manage the allocation process and who should use the facility, for the safety of the users and longevity of the field. Applications for sports field use can be made through our booking service.
Please see below the current status of our sports fields as of 2.00pm Monday 16 June 2025.

We're proud to support physical activity and team building in our community through sport. Our facilities are important to this, so we encourage sporting groups to apply for support from Council to upgrade facilities by submitting a sporting facility upgrade application.
Such projects may include installing or repairing fences, amenities, or canteens, etc - where the sporting group are proposing to source funding or fund the project internally and commit to ongoing maintenance requirements.
