National Youth Week is an opportunity for young people (12 - 25 years) to share ideas, attend live events, have their voices heard on issues that concern them, showcase their talents, celebrate their contribution to the community, but most of all - have fun!
This years theme is: Together more than ever. Due to COVID-19 public safety orders, unfortunately a gathering was not possible this year, but we've still found a way to celebrate the young people in our community!
Zamplify - Youth Week Event
To amplify the talents and voices of our Gen-Z locals, up and coming bands were invited to take the stage at Zamplify - a festival event that was set to take place at the Regional Stadium on Friday, 16 April during Youth Week. This was a particularly challenging time for our region and while our community was still recovering from the March flood event, the decision was made to postpone Zamplify until Friday 24 September.
With on-going COVID gathering restrictions challenging the event format, Zamplify has been reformatted as an online concert to safely bring the youth in our community together to celebrate each other’s talents.
Tune in and sing along as we celebrate the voices, talents, and contibutions of our local young ones!
