Port Macquarie Mayor Adam Roberts wrapped up a highly successful round of Meet the Mayor sessions in Port Macquarie and Wauchope on Monday, with both locations attracting capacity bookings.
The forums provided an opportunity for residents to speak directly with Mayor Roberts and Acting CEO Robert Fish in one-on-one appointments, fostering open dialogue and a collaborative approach to local issues.
A broad range of topics were raised by community members, including footpaths, accessibility, playgrounds, sporting facilities, flood modelling, road maintenance and the region’s ongoing need for improved transport infrastructure.
Mayor Roberts said he was encouraged by the level of engagement and the diversity of matters brought forward.
“It was fantastic to see residents take the time to share their thoughts, raise issues that matter to them, and offer constructive ideas,” he said.
“I want to sincerely thank everyone who participated in the Port Macquarie and Wauchope forums. Your input is helping shape a better future for our region.”
The next opportunity for residents to meet with the Mayor will be in the Camden Haven area on Tuesday, 27 August, at the Laurieton School of Arts Hall.
Expressions of Interest for these one-on-one sessions have now opened and close on Monday, 18 August 2025.
“I encourage our Camden Haven community members to please register your interest. These conversations are incredibly valuable, and I’m looking forward to hearing directly from you about your ideas, concerns, and aspirations for our community,” Mayor Roberts said.
