Our Libraries and Services

COVID-19 Safe Management

Our Libraries in Port Macquarie, Laurieton and Wauchope are currently open Monday to Friday, 10am-4pm.

Services available: browsing and borrowing. Computers, Photocopying & printing are now available – However there is a 30 minute time limit on the use of computers, with only every second machine in use to maintain social distancing rules.

Visitors will need to sanitise their hands on entry, maintain physical distancing and limit their visits to 30 minutes. We appreciate this is not the level of access you're accustomed to, however we ask for your patience during the current times.

Port Macquarie-Hastings Council has three libraries throughout the region. The Library Service is part of the Mid North Coast Library Cooperative, a partnership with Kempsey Shire Libraries.

Library members have access to the resources of both library services and a shared catalogue. We offer an extensive range of services and resources throughout the region. Come and visit any of our branches to access the Internet, read a magazine or newspaper, research your family history, enjoy children's activities, borrow DVDs, music, MP3s, or even a book or two!
