An extraordinary meeting of council took place in the Council Chambers on Thursday 1 September at 4:00pm.
Two items were discussed. To catch up on the key decisions, read the summary of resolutions below.
Councillors unanimously adopted the 2021-2022 carry-over of projects for inclusion in the 2022-2023 budget and amend the 2022-2023 one year Operational Plan to include all projects approved to be carried over as individual action items.
Councillors' consideration of a property matter was discussed in a confidential session. The outcome of their discussion was to pay $1.2 million (ex GST) to the owner of land at 85 Koala Street. It was resolved that the process to classify the land as operational land would begin. The proposed resolution to classify the land as operational land is on public exhibition from 9 September 2022 for 28 days.
A further report will be tabled at the October 2022 council meeting which will include any submissions made during the exhibition period.
