Mayor and Councillors

The Port Macquarie Hastings is represented by 9 Councillors, including the Mayor, who are elected for a 4-year term.

Due to the 2020 election being postponed by a year, the current Council will remain for a 5-year term and the new Council that is elected at the 2021 election will serve for a 3-year term.  The next local government elections will be held on Saturday, 4 December 2021.

Mayor Peta Pinson

Peta is the first woman elected to the role of Mayor for the region of Port Macquarie-Hastings.  Her election as a popular elected Mayor came after a by-election in August 2017.

Deputy Mayor Lisa Intemann

Lisa Intemann is a Wauchope resident and has been an elected Councillor for Port Macquarie-Hastings for over 18 years.

Councillor Rob Turner

Rob has lived in Port Macquarie for over 40 years.  He is a pharmacist, and has owned and operated several pharmacies since 1991.
