As part of its ongoing community water education program, Port Macquarie-Hastings Council offers free community tours, presentations and field trips to residents of the Port Macquarie-Hastings area.
These include :
- Community Water Trail Tours or presentations of the Water Supply or Wastewater Treatment Plants.
- School field trips and excursions to the Water Supply or Wastewater Treatment Plants. School visits and presentations are available for High Schools and Primary Schools.
- Preschool presentations including a visit with our Water Ambassador, Whizzy the Waterdrop.
Presentation topics include:
- From the catchment to the tap.
- The journey of water - for lower Primary Schools.
- Where does the water go?
- Every drop counts - for Preschools.
- Water saving, understanding your water bill and current water restrictions (if applicable).
