Water trail tours and presentations

As part of its ongoing community water education program, Port Macquarie-Hastings Council offers free community tours, presentations and field trips to residents of the Port Macquarie-Hastings area.

These include :

  • Community Water Trail Tours or presentations of the Water Supply or Wastewater Treatment Plants.
  • School field trips and excursions to the Water Supply or Wastewater Treatment Plants. School visits and presentations are available for High Schools and Primary Schools.
  • Preschool presentations including a visit with our Water Ambassador, Whizzy the Waterdrop.

Presentation topics include:

  • From the catchment to the tap.
  • The journey of water - for lower Primary Schools.
  • Where does the water go?
  • Every drop counts - for Preschools.
  • Water saving, understanding your water bill and current water restrictions (if applicable).
