Let's reduce our use! Here's some water saving tips you can implement at home to help maintain our water storage volumes and save money on your water bill.

In the Bathroom

  • Check for leaks
  • Install water saving devices
  • Turn off the tap when you’re brushing your teeth.
  • Reduce your shower time
  • Capture water in a bucket while waiting for your shower to warm up (use it in your garden or washing machine)
  • Check for leaks
  • Install a dual-flush toilet system
  • If it’s yellow, let it mellow. If it’s brown, flush it down
  • Check for leaks
  • Install water saving devices on your taps
  • A full load is best - wait until your washing machine is full.
  • Install a grey water hose to run from your washing machine out to your garden, or capture the water in a bucket and reuse elsewhere
