Kerbside collection

All residents with a domestic waste collection service may book a "bulky" waste collection (maximum 2 cubic metres - equivalent to the size of a small trailer) for a fee.

Check Council's fees and charges for cost of domestic waste collection which must be paid the week prior to the service. Call in to a Council office or call 6581 8111 to book and pay for this service.

Pick up days are Monday to Wednesday. Requests for a Monday collection closes 3pm the Friday before.

There will be no kerbside pick-ups between Tuesday 17 December 2019 and Friday 10 January 2020. Kerbside bookings will recommence Monday 6 January for pick-up the week commencing Monday 13 January 2020.

We accept household items only such as:

  • small white goods (eg washing machine, dryer, bar fridge)
  • electrical appliances
  • any single item capable of being easily lifted by two persons.

The following items are not accepted:

  • rolls of carpet
  • bulk motor vehicle parts
  • green waste
  • household garbage

  • hazardous waste (e.g. chemicals, paints)

Scrap metal must be sorted from your mixed waste and placed in a separate pile as this will be collected separately

Please try to recycle or re-use any of the items you want to dispose of.

Every ratepayer will have received two free tip tickets that can be used to drop off items at any domestic waste facilities at no charge.

Any waste placed on the kerbside without a pay-as-you-go service booking will be treated as illegally dumped and appropriate compliance action will be taken.
