Council regulates parking throughout the CBD areas of Port Macquarie, Wauchope, Laurieton and North Haven. Parking is free in the CBD so parking time limits have been set to balance the competing needs for both short and long term parking in these areas.
The CBD areas in Port Macquarie, Wauchope, Laurieton and North Haven include the following parking time limits:
| Short term stays
|| Long term stays
| 15 minutes
|| 2 hours
| 30 minutes
|| 3 hours
| 1 hour
|| all day parking
Street parking is free - this includes a mix of centre parking, parallel parking and 60 degree angle parking nose to kerb, depending on the town where you are parking.
When parking your vehicle please ensure it is legally parked and that you check all sign posting, making yourself aware of any restrictions which may apply. Council Rangers conduct random parking patrols across the entire region on a regular basis and a large portion of parking spaces in the Port Macquarie CBD are electronically monitored.
For drivers of long vehicles it can often be difficult to find a suitable park. We do not have any dedicated long vehicle car parking spaces, however there are many wide streets that will accommodate a long vehicle.
