Garden waste

Place in green bin. Examples include: lawn clippings, prunings, small sticks and twigs flowers and leaves - no large stumps or branches.

Remember: Please don't place garden waste in your Red Bin as it will be landfilled and generate methane, 24 times more potent as a greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide.

Gas bottles

Do not place in domestic bins. They can be dropped off for free at a waste facility.

Glass (other than jars and bottles)

Place in red bin.

Examples include: glass mirrors, windows, light globes, drinking glasses and broken glass jars. These items have different melting properties to bottles and jars. They cannot be processed with recyclable glass bottles and jars as they weaken the final product.
