Foam

Place in red bin. Foam, styrofoam or polystyrene cannot be recycled.

Examples of foam items include: meat trays, protective packaging and foam cups, foam bedding, furniture, toy and cushion stuffing

Food waste

Place in green bin. Examples include: meat, chicken, fish, shellfish (excludes oyster shells), bones, plate scrapings, fruit and vegetable scraps, cake, bread, rice, pasta, dairy products like cheese, yogurt and cream, tea bags and coffee grounds.

Remember: Please don't place food in your Red Bin as it will be landfilled and generate methane, 24 times more potent as a greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide.
