Cultural Connections

Cultural Connections is a free community event celebrating and showcasing our vibrant cultural diversity under the theme, “We are all part of the story.”

With a colourful and energetic lineup of traditional dancers, musicians, and performers, this event promises a captivating experience for all ages. The site will be brought to life with a variety of cultural stalls and food vendors. Join us on Birpai Country at the stunning beachside amphitheatre for a culturally rich and expressive experience.

The event begins with a Welcome to Country and a smoking ceremony, setting the tone for a day that beautifully reflects the cultural diversity of our region. Bring along a picnic, a rug, and folding chairs, or relax under the marque or on the grand sandstone amphitheatre steps to soak in everything this special event has to offer.

Access: Parking’s tight, so why not walk, ride, catch public transport, or get dropped off? For those with mobility needs, there’s a dedicated drop-off area at the end of Alban Place with a smooth footpath to the performance area. Plus, we’ve got reserved accessible seating and amenities to keep everyone comfy.
