Port Macquarie Hastings Council is engaging in conversations with communities impacted by the March flood disaster, via outreach services and community meetings.

"We appreciate the people who have shared their stories with us at the outreach centres and at the community meetings so far, because it means we can try to find solutions," said Lucilla Marshall, Group Manager Community.

"Everyone touched by the flood should register at our outreach centres and with Service NSW. We have information to help."

Residents and businesses are invited to the community meetings which are being held all over the local government area until May 6.

Discussion at the meetings help council understand what further support will be needed in the coming weeks on the long road to recovery.
