It’s official we are sensational!
Council’s Sensational Seniors Expo was held on Monday 18 February at Panthers (Settlement City) Port Macquarie.
It was great to be a senior with our largest crowd ever of 1451 attending the Expo to get all the latest information about Council and government services, and visiting 84 stalls. This is a 20% increase in visitation and does not count the stall holders. The venue was packed to the rafters. Mayor Pinson, Cr Alley and Citizen of the Year Janette Hyde enjoyed the festivities with Prime News featuring the Expo on the evening news. Highlights on the stage include Krista and the St Agnes ‘goldies’ demonstrating Zumba Gold exercises and the U3A Multicultural Dancers taking us to Russia. There were loads of demonstrations including quilting, crocheting, Bridge cards, fly fishing, free blood pressure testing and gait (walking) analysis as well as food samples provided by the good folk at St Agnes Parish and Omnicare Alliance (Meals on Wheels).
Visit the photo Library to see some images from the Expo.
A special thank you to the energetic Chris, Del, Mike and Ravinder from our Seniors Expo Working group and our amazing and always helpful venue sponsors the brilliant team at Panthers.
REMEMBER Stallholder applications open on the 1st November every year. Visit this page from the 1st November to apply online or paper forms will be available at our customer service centres and Libraries in Wauchope, Laurieton and Port Macquarie.
