We are excited to announce the delivery of a Professional Development program aimed at supporting the regions creatives, including visual and performing artists, musicians, creative writers, designers, photographers and more.
The program is centred on addressing the skill gaps identified by participants of the Artists and Creative Businesses Survey as a part of the PMHC Cultural Economy Project 2020. The program is funded by the COVID Relief Funding Project, and will run throughout the second half of 2021.
Workshops will be offered on tech-based and creative-based sessions covering business, marketing and promotion, and upskilling. The sessions will provide valuable insights and information for creatives wanting to take their ideas or practice to the next level.
We have secured a range of local and national vibrant and engaging workshop facilitators including creative industries experts, established artists and creative business owners.
Participation in this comprehensive program will allow you meet other creatives and practitioners in your region, grow your network, and strengthen your practice.
Session costs have been heavily subsidised by the PMHC COVID Relief Funding Project. Places are limited, so be sure to reserve your spot by booking online.
If you would like to receive the latest news on all things Arts, Culture and Heritage in the region, register HERE to receive the iCreate newsletter.
Later in the year, we will be running a series of industry talks covering topics such as collaborating with Aboriginal artists, how to be represented by a gallery/publisher/agency and local visual and performing arts success stories, just to name a few.

We are excited to be kicking off the development of a local Creative Networking Group with a planning session facilitated by Monica Davidson from Creative Plus Business. This session is for invited participants who are committed to establishing a networking group for local creatives within the Port Macquarie LGA. The 2.5 hour workshop is part educational delivery and part brainstorming with the participants to decide how they would like the concept to progress, how the group will function and what the group will look like when formed.
