Support for local business

Port Macquarie-Hastings Council is committed to encouraging and supporting industry and business.  We recognise the importance of a strong economy and are working to ensure the economic development of our region is a central consideration in our activities.  To stay up to date with the latest Economic Development news, sign up for our newsletter Economic Development Matters.

If you are a small or start-up business looking for assistance, the following local organisations can assist:

  • Edmund Barton Centre - created to help sustain economies across regional Australia. It achieves this by providing assistance to new and existing businesses through its Start Up Business Development Program, Key Business Enhancement Program, Inspire Program and the Apprentice to Business Owner Program.
  • Enterprise & Training Company Ltd - ETC is the Mid North Coast provider of the Small Biz Connect business advisory program. New and existing businesses can access 6 hours of personalised business support at no cost, subsidised by the NSW Government.
