Lights controlled using smart controller App
Works on the sports field LED lighting installations at four sporting precincts across the LGA was completed in January 2020.
This project delivered new field lighting to Andrews Park in Wauchope and Woods Street in Port Macquarie and lighting upgrades to Vince Inmon Sporting Precinct (Netball Courts) in Laurieton and Charlie Watt Reserve in Telegraph Point.
The new lighting uses advanced technology LED’s, increasing the life expectancy of lamps from 5,000 to 50,000 hours and also incorporates ‘smart controller’ remote access which is a more efficient way of managing the lighting on a daily basis.
Delivery of these improvements will afford the opportunity for extended usability and provide a solution to the increasing participation in sport in the Port Macquarie-Hastings area. Works are funded by the NSW Government through Round 2 of the Stronger Country Communities Fund and the NSW Regional Sports Infrastructure Fund (Woods Street/Stuart Park).
