As part of Council’s Bridgeworks Maintenance Program and ongoing commitment to the regions road network, we replaced the old timber bridge with a new single span timber bridge and extended wingwalls. Plus we placed some rocks around the wingwalls to limit the effects of flooding over the bridge.
It took approximately 7 weeks to complete with the bridge reopening on 26 June 2019.
We undertook traffic control during the project works with some road closures taking place. During the closure periods, temporary parking was available on both sides of the bridge enabling residents to park their vehicle on either side of the bridge and a pedestrian walkway around the work site and across the creek provided access on foot.
