Stuart Park upgrade

Stuart Park Amenities Upgrade

Council and the NSW Government have invested $4 million under the Regional Sports Infrastructure Fund into the development of Stuart Park to provide the community with an updated sporting and recreation destination.

The upgrades to Stuart Park are complete with the addition of multi-usage sports courts and lighting, refurbished amenities and canteens, sports field floodlighting, spectator seating, shade trees, car parking, new storage facilities and improved drainage.  Official opening was held on 2 July 2020.

The following stages have been completed as part of the Stuart Park precinct upgrades:

  • Petanque Court
  • Children's Playground
  • Accessible access, amenities, shelters, seating, picnic tables, BBQ's and bubblers
  • Off-leash Dog Park
  • Two Outdoor Multi-purpose courts
  • Hibbard Drive entrances and spectator hill landscaped
  • New LED Sports Lighting
  • Perimeter Pathways

Project Updates

  • Wood Street road works complete

    27 April 2020

    We have improved pedestrian safety and traffic movement by upgrading the road at Woods Street, Stuart Park. These works included:

    • formalised car parking,
    • improved drainage,
    • new footpaths,
    • landscaping,
    • kerb and guttering,
    • bus bay and turnaround bay
