Mayor's Weekly Message Monday 5 February
A new round of Council grants
If you’re a local event organiser, community group or non-for-profit organisation then now’s the time to start preparing your application for round 2 of Council’s Community and Event Sponsorship grants.
Late last year we provided more than $100,000 in grants which has helped many local community projects and events come to life.
Getting started on a grant application can be tricky, so to help get the ball rolling we have a number of information sessions happening this week across the region, with staff on hand to provide advice on how to make your application shine.
From creating events that celebrate our rich local heritage, to building a program that helps bring members of our community closer together, there’s a category for everyone, and now’s the time to think about how a Council grant can help you.
Round 2 of Council’s 2018/19 Grants Program opens on Monday 11 February 2019.
For information session details or help to apply visit pmhc.nsw.gov.au/grants or call Council’s Grants Coordinator Paul Koch on 6581 8111.
Good luck everyone!
It’s time to get healthy, wealthy and wise!
Seniors from across the region are invited to mark their calendar for Monday 18 February as the Sensational Seniors Expo takes over Panthers Port Macquarie.
The free expo is a great opportunity for retirees, or those about to retire, to access information on health and aged care services, travel opportunities, and leisure and lifestyle activities available locally.
Last year’s event was huge, and with around 85 exhibitors on board to showcase their products and services to local seniors, our 2019 expo is set to be even bigger!
There’ll be live entertainment, demonstrations, food tastings, health checks and loads of giveaways and goodies.
I encourage all local seniors to head down to Panthers Port Macquarie between 9am-2pm on Monday 18 February to join in the fun.
