Make a payment

You can make an online payment direct to Council to pay your rates, your water bill or a fine (debtor payment), via our secure eServices Portal. To make a payment click the button below.

 Tips for making online payments

When making a payment online, you will need your account's Assessment Number, which can be found towards the top right hand side of your notice. The system will automatically input the amount currently due but you can change this by typing over the amount showing.

Once your payment has processed, you will receive an online receipt as confirmation. Please print this receipt and retain for your records.

Online transactions will normally be processed the next business day.

Note: If your Rate or Water account has arrears and you require an up to date balance please contact Council’s customer service centre.


Credit card merchant service fees.

Council accepts only Visa and Mastercard for online payments and a Merchant Service Fee (MSF) applies to all transactions made by credit card.

If you choose to pay your bill online, a credit card surcharge of 0.156% applies to the total amount.

Examples of an MSF applied to your transaction:

  • If you pay $100.00 using a credit card, the surcharge will be $0.16 and the total amount payable is $100.16.
  • If you pay $1,000.00 using a credit card, the surcharge will be $1.56 and the total amount debited against your credit card will be $1,001.56.
