Information on the Gallery
The Gallery opened in July 2009 and consists of over 600m2 of space across three levels within the Glasshouse. With soaring ceilings of seven metres, lift access to all levels and full humidity/climate control, the Gallery is able to accommodate a wide range of international, national and regional exhibitions.
The Glasshouse Regional Gallery’s annual program includes touring exhibitions from some of Australia’s most renowned cultural institutions and curated exhibitions from international, national and local artists as well as heritage exhibitions.
The Gallery also hosts Northern Exposure, a biennial survey exhibition of mid north coast artists which provides a fascinating overview of local creativity and artistic practice.
The exhibition program includes regular artist talks, workshops, educational activities and professional development opportunities for the community, artists and teachers.
