What is Home and Community Care (HACC)
The HACC Program is a joint Commonwealth and State/Territory program providing funding and assistance for Australians in need. The overall objective of HACC is to provide funding for services which support people who live at home and whose capacity for independent living is at risk or who are at risk of premature or inappropriate admission to long term residential care.

Meals on Wheels
Meals are delivered to your home 5 days a week by volunteers. Special diets and weekend meals are also catered for. Other Food Services also provided are grocery shopping assistance, meal vouchers, social outings and nutrition information. Phone your local office for more information.

Home Nursing Group
The Home Nursing Group aims to assist people to stay in their homes and remain independent for as long as possible. They provide many services including Domestic Assistance, Personal care, Social Support and Respite. Family Based Respite
Establishes and supports regular short term time limited respite breaks for ages 0-65 for people they care for with a disability pending on funding availability, using trained support workers or volunteers for community access, group activities and/or one on one support.
Respite Support Service
Provides support to Carers needing information or assistance with organising respite. Provides short-term, planned or emergency respite.
Social support aims to integrate people with a disability ages 12-65 into the community through involvement in group local leisure, recreational activities & trips away. Using support workers and volunteers.

Hastings Home Modification & Maintenance
Providing home modification, maintenance and lawn mowing services to improve independence, safety and access in and around the home. Minor services include rails, hand held showers, lever taps, minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry and yard maintenance and a regular lawn mowing service. Major services include ramps, step modifications, and complete bathroom and kitchen modifications. Subsidies are available for people who are frail aged, people with disabilities and their carers.
