Council is responsible for holding Australian Citizenship ceremonies for applicants that have been approved by the Department of Home Affairs.
Once approved, the Department will write to the applicant advising that they will be invited by Council to attend a Citizenship Ceremony to make their citizenship pledge and receive their Citizenship Certificate. Council can only invite a candidate to a ceremony if their name is on the list of approved candidates provided by the Department.
Citizenship ceremonies are held approximately every eight weeks throughout the year.

2018 Australian Citizenship Ceremonies
There will be Citizenship ceremonies conducted by Council during the following months in 2018:
Approved candidates will receive an invitation letter from Council 3-4 weeks prior to the Citizenship Ceremony outlining the details of the ceremony.
